About Us

We want to inspire children to be the best that they can be. So often it has been the case that because children may have been unable to attend a local drama group they have never realized their talents and full creative potential. Or maybe just the fact that a child has not developed their ability because they have never felt comfortable and confident enough in a group. We at Urban Young Actors believe that setting up a safe, secure and creative environment helps children grow in a positive manner. It is brilliant to attend a workshop with likeminded individuals and to feel a sense of personal achievement after every session. We aim to have a diverse mix of children in our group who will be keen to work together and learn from each other.

The group is entry on audition only

The main reason for this is to ensure personal attention and encouragement to each child therefore our numbers are limited. We are looking for 'Real' kids with a natural ability, willingness to learn, and a strong dedication to the group. It’s very important children attend their 2 hour session every week to show their commitment to the group.

The auditions will be very informal and will revolve around Improvisation based games and drama within a group setting. Please make sure your child wears comfortable clothing to move around in and flat shoes.
